Ben-Jamin is among Australia’s most elite and diverse performing artists.He was born to be on the stage and has been training since he was five years old, in acting, dancing and singing.
Twelve year old Ben-jamin, danced a season by invitation with the State Dance troupe, and won an acting scholarship to McDonald College. He transferred to Brent Street when they started the Talent Development High School (T.D.H.S.), he was one of the founding members of the “drama stream”.
In 2006, Ben-jamin moved to Italy for 6 months to study Commedia dell arte under Antonio Fava. His love of Commedia continues, with Ben-jamin currently holds a resident cast position in Sydney, with the professional troupe ‘ Fools in Progress’ and assisting in Antonio Fava’s Australian workshops in 2013.
In 2008 Ben-jamin completed his Cert. 1V in Performing Arts at Brent St, under the direction of Jacqui Howard, with a strong focus in performance techniques.
Ben-jamin successfully auditioned for Carnival Cruise Lines in early 2009, and was placed with one of their most technically demanding shows. He was a featured dancer and cast member and was immensely proud of his 9/10 review results. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in the Bahamas! But, decided it was time to get serious …. after two contracts at sea, Ben-jamin returned to Sydney.
Since his return he has filmed many short films, commercials etc. One short film won the Audience choice award at the 2013 “Night Of Horror film Festival” in Sydney, Australia.
He has just finished filming a tele-movie for the ABC, and is involved in a couple of projects at concept level.
